Meffys finalists announced
New Best Brand on Mobile and Mobile Website categories reflect broader investment into mobile
Winners to be announced at industry’s premier awards gala in London on July 7th
2 June 2011, London – MEF today announced the finalists for the eighth annual Meffys Awards. Selected over five days of live judging by experts from 40 national and industry media, as well as analyst houses, this year’s finalists highlight the most innovative and successful apps, services, content, business models and technology from across the globe, with increasing representation from emerging markets such as Latin America and Africa.
Rimma Perelmuter, MEF’s Executive Director, said: “The Meffys provide a window into the latest global trends in the evolving mobile ecosystem. This year’s shortlist demonstrates the rise in mobile content and commerce services that not only entertain but also enable deeper consumer engagement and monetization directly via the mobile connected device. The two new categories – Best Brand on Mobile and Best Mobile Website – highlight the growing importance of mobile as the key engagement channel for both brands and consumers.”
The 2011 Meffys winners will be unveiled on July 7th at a special gala awards dinner hosted by international TV personality, comedienne & author, Ruby Wax.
