This category recognises early adopters who are paving the way for managing privacy and security in line with regulation and industry developments of best practice. Entries may be a technology or service that is ensuring compliance and transparency to advance consumer trust or an individual app, product, service or campaign that utilises consumer data effectively and responsibly.
Please note: companies must enter a specific project or campaign (app, mobile website, service, etc) In particular, judges will look for entries that help drive the uptake of mobile services due to increased consumer trust and will focus on:
- Informed consent
- Transparency (i.e. clear privacy policies)
- Explicit options around data usage
- Responsible data collection & management
- Proven commercial benefit & effectiveness
Who should enter: Service providers , technology providers, apps developers, network operators, app stores, handset manufacturers, retailers, brands, ad networks. Joint entries are encouraged.
